Neurodiverse Self Advocacy Partnership CIC is a non-profit social enterprise dedicating to helping autistic people to realise their potential and achieve their goals. We are running a self-help information site and forum and innovative mentoring into employment programme that we call Tool Up and a post-diagnostic mentoring programme Pathway. We won Innovate UK Women in Innovation award for one of our mentoring programmes and are now funded by the Derbyshire Integrated Care board.
To help us manage our post-diagnostic support programme in Derbyshire we are looking for a Project Manager. This would be great for those looking to enhance their CV with a really solid professional experience. It would suit an organised person with significant time on their hands and an ability to manage projects with full accountability for the delivery. We are looking for someone able to sustain the commitment of 8 hours per week (potentially 16) and able to accept instructions. The pay is £12 per hour, or £416 per month.
We are looking for a person able to work independently but willing to follow instructions and collaborate in a team.
The pre-requisites are understanding and some experience with autism and proficiency with the computer and MS Office suite. Applicants must hold a full driving licence, have access to a car, be able to secure business insurance and must pass an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) including children and adult barring lists.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the delivery of the project to time and budget
- Maintaining email communications with the team, mentors, mentees, suppliers and other stakeholders
- Monitoring the project against the timeline, taking anticipatory action against delay
- Monitoring the budget
- Report regularly on project progress
- Maintaining accurate records in our online system
- Run Zoom /Teams meetings
- Understanding what needs to be done when to deliver on time and on budget is at the core of this role
- Posting on the forum and Learning Management System (full training provided).
Essential experience and requirements
- Knowledge of autism and neurodiversity, preferably through lived experience
- Proficiency with MS Office suite and online applications
- Experience in developing relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Experience of communicating via email
- Ability to lean on the job
- Managing own time is important
- Ability to plan and organise own activity
Education to degree level is preferred.
The candidate will be interviewed on Zoom and be asked to provide two references and undergo an enhanced DBS check.
